Grand Day
On May 7th, 2019 Patterson Primary’s Kindergarten Team hosted their annual “Grand Day” celebration. The theme for this year’s festivities was springtime!
The Grand Friends were welcomed with colorfully decorated walls, covered in classwork and crafts that showcased the awesome amount of growth a child makes while in a kindergarten classroom.
Students shared their school with their “Grand” visitors by giving them a special tour, demonstrating their reading skills, preparing special projects and poems, and performing songs. Thank you to all who had a part in celebrating this very special day!
Mother’s Day Tea
On May 9th, 2019 the first-grade classes at Patterson Primary hosted a Mother’s Day Tea event. The young students escorted moms to their seats and served them tea and cookies. Moms then got to enjoy listening to opinion writings from their first-graders about why their mom “should be on the cover of People Magazine” and why she is “The Best Mom in the world!” The students sang songs and recited poems as well. Many wonderful memories were shared in Mrs. Terry’s, Mr. Bunney’s, and Mrs. Sheffler’s classrooms to celebrate Mother’s Day.
