Here are some of our favorite apps to help you enjoy the next few months to the fullest!

 

Cozi Family Organizer

(Free — iOS, Google Play)
Your family’s life isn’t stationary, so why should your family calendar be? Manage your hectic schedule with this app, which has won awards such as the Mom’s Choice Award and Best Parenting App.
Cozi is jam-packed with features, such as a family calendar where you can see what everyone is doing and where everyone needs to be, a shared to-do lists, a shared grocery list, recipe storage, and even a family journal.

AllTrails

(Free — iOS, Google Play)
AllTrails has a large collection of GPS trail maps! You can explore trails around you and filter through trails based on difficulty level, trail length, elevation gain, wheelchair accessibility, pet friendliness,
and trail traffic levels. The app also lets you know what activities there are to do on the trail, such as backpacking, birding, or fishing, and what can be seen from the trail such as historic sites, rivers, and wildlife! Some maps are available to download offline so you won’t miss a step when you’re in an area without good cellular service.

Libby

(Free — iOS, Google Play, Microsoft)
If you’re looking to exercise your mind the summer, meet Libby! The Beaver County Library System uses Libby to offer ebooks and audiobooks to library cardholders. You can download books and audiobooks to read them offline, or stream them to save space on your phone. Libby can also send your library books to your Kindle device!

 

SkyView Lite

(Free — iOS, Google Play)
Turn your phone into a planetarium and use it to identify the stars and planets that gaze down on us at night! Just point your phone in any direction and these apps will show you the exact sky you see using your phone’s GPS.

 

Adobe Photoshop Express

(Free — iOS, Google Play, Windows)
If you love to capture your summer memories by photographing every moment, this free app is for you. Easily turn your snapshots into beautiful masterpiec- es using the many editing tools available in the app such as cropping, auto-fix, blemish removal, lighting corrections, and filters.

 

UVLens

(Free — iOS, Google Play)
Stay safe in the sun with live UV reports! This app will tell you if the amount of UV is low, moderate, high, or very high depending on the time of day so you can plan the best time to be enjoying the outdoors. You can also enter your eye, hair, and skin color into the app to receive an estimate of how long it could take your skin to burn. Additionally, it makes suggestions on how to protect yourself from the sun!
