Chippewa is a beautiful, safe and healthy community that attracts new business and development and adds new residents each and every year. Community members and property owners, both business and residential, are a proud and committed group.
Property values are high and the Code Enforcement Office and its Ordinances help to keep it that way.
Although rules and regulations can be unpopular, these guidelines are critical and in place to ensure the continuing health of our community.
Spring is a good time for a property “check-up” for any maintenance and repair needed on the homestead. This is also the time of year that the Code Office will begin to take a look around the Township for any potential problems.
Reminder Notices, Violation Notifications and Citations may be issued for un-addressed issues and problems such as: Intersection Safety, Swimming Pool Upkeep, Unlicensed and Non-Roadworthy Vehicles, Un-usable and Junked Equipment, High Grass, Trash, Clutter, Broken Windows and Temporary Sign Registrations, to name a few.
Residents can contact the Chippewa Township Code Enforcement Office with any questions you may have or to report a neighborhood problem. We are happy to assist you in any way and remember our motto – “Be a Good Neighbor”!

FOCUS ORDINANCE: Illegal Storage/ Keeping of Vehicles
All vehicles on the property must be properly registered, insured and inspected and must be roadworthy. The vehicle must be legal in all aspects and able to be safely and legally operated on the streets. All illegal vehicles must be removed from the property.
