Air Heritage Museum Presents Wings & Wheels Aviation Appreciation Day and Classic Car Show — 2023 —

In partnership with the Community College of Beaver County and Beaver County Radio, Air Heritage Aviation Museum is announcing their Annual “Wings and Wheels” Aviation Appreciation Day and Classic Car Show on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. at the Beaver County Airport in Chippewa.
Event organizer and President of Air Heritage Tom Gargaro reports last year’s plane and car show was the largest and most successful fundraising event to date thanks to the gathering of Beaver County aviation and car enthusiasts. His plan this year is to make it a bigger and better family-friendly event for all to enjoy with no entry fee!
The Community College of Beaver County, Head Start/Early Head Start of Beaver County, and Beaver County Radio are this year’s major sponsors. CCBC will have flight simulators in the hangar for anyone to experience what it is like to fly an airplane. Head Start/Early Start of Beaver County will have giveaways and activities for children. Beaver County radio will be live on site the day of the event playing oldies and doing live on-air interviews. You can tune in to Beaver County Radio regularly for event news and updates.
Get there early because the first 400 classic cars will receive a dash plaque and a limited number of surprise kiddie bags will be given out! There will also be different food trucks to provide the most pleasant and varied food experience for everyone attending. There will be a large selection of “Chance Auction” items, vendor and sponsor displays, and also new this year is a Silent Auction with some spectacular artwork. Also, expect to see a few new airplanes on display! New this year will be a skydiving team, who, weather permitting, will perform several different jump maneuvers.
This is a family-friendly event with plenty of things for families to enjoy. Attendance at the event is free so mark May 20, 2023, on your calendars and come out to enjoy the exciting festivities.
